Besides some minor bugs the new Direct application is almost finished and we would like to invite everyone to the first TopCoder Direct UI Bug Hunt.

The application is set up in a sandbox so you can safely play around with it.
It is a chance for everyone who wants to take a look behind the TopCoder scenes and wants to know how contests are launched/managed by Admins, CoPilots and clients ;).

1. Your initial submissions to Round 1 of this contest contained icons that were pasted into your PSD file. When those submissions were screened, they were passed but you were instructed to send the source files of those icons in Round 2. The instructions specifically said that if you did not create the icons yourself, you should remove them for Round 2.

2. When you submitted in Round 2, and the contest had ended, your submissions were again passed -- even though you did not send the source of the icons. You sent png files of the icons. Since you are new here, you were given another chance to send the source files via email to studio admin (the message you show in your post above).

3. You sent an email showing several links to "free" icons you used in your design, instead of source showing you created those icons.

4. Your submissions were failed and a detailed email was sent to you explaining why.

Regardless of whether or not the creators of those icons allow you to use them, TopCoder Studio does not allow this. You were asked to send the source OR links to where you found the icons because you were not responding to initial requests (during Round 1) for source files and I wanted to be sure you fully understood that we needed to evaluate these icons.

Please re-read the Assignment Document you signed, the TopCoder Terms of Service and the Studio Official Contest Rules. Each of these documents state you cannot submit work that you did not create yourself unless specifically permitted in the contest. I sent you this information in an email yesterday.

Studio tries very hard to work with new members who may not understand the rules, but in the end -- this is a competition.
