In other words, TopCoder Direct is the bridge between client and the TopCoder community that gives a customer ability to build software and complete design projects of any size or scope through competition.
We are going to move Direct(http://www.topcoder.com/direct) to HTML based platform. Before the architect contest, we want to refine the wireframe of this applicaiton. This contest, aims design the wireframe for five function areas of this application.
Entries must be your original work, and must not infringe on the copyright or licenses of others. Stock art, clip art, templates and other design elements from other sources are prohibited unless specifically permitted here in the Contest Details.
This Studio competition will be run as a two-round tournament with a total prize purse of $2,500.00.
Round One (1)
At the end of Round One, TopCoder will choose Five (5) winners; each will win $100 and a Design Review. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in Round One will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional $1500 in prizes.
In this Round. competitors should finish the overall skeleton. It includes: 1) The first screen of each function areas. 2) The landing page.
Round Two (2)
Round 2 will start with the announcement of the Five $100 Round 1 winners and the posting of their design reviews in the contest forum.
This is the final Round and all competitors should submit his final submission.
Please read the contest specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this contest. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.
Regarding the Rounds:
- To be eligible for Round 1 prizes and design feedback, you must submit before the Milestone deadline.
- The contest holder will announce Round 1 winners and provide design feedback to those winners in the forum after the milestone deadline.
- You must submit to Round 1 to be eligible to compete in Round 2. If your submission fails screening for a small mistake in Round 1, you may still submit to Round 2.
In this competition, the task is :
1. Design wireframes for the five function areas in Direct.
Launch a contest(Section 2.5-2.15) : This includes, create project, create/edit contest, and set properties for the contest(contest specifications, set prizes, single/multi rounds, etc.). Clients can create contests as draft, active them, and edit them.
My Project(Section 2.16-2.18): Clients can view their running or scheduled contests, and some intutive properties can be displayed(reg users, forum posts, and a GUI timeline)
Pipeline Manager(Section 2.23-2.30): View the projects and contests. Use filter to select specified contests.
Submission Viewer(Section 2.20-2.22): View the milestones and final submissions, and rank them. Purchase the winning submissions.
Project Admin(Section2.31-2.32): Manage the permission for projects/contests. Set read/write permission for each project/contest on specified people.

3. Please note, the specification is written exactly as the current application. But in this contests, you can use your knowledges to create wireframes. What we required, is to 1)implement all the functions. 2) Make it more user friendly, and intuitive.

In attachment, we provide: 1) Winning submissions from a previous wireframe competition. Every competitor can refer it, but not required to follow them. 2) Winning submission from the specification contest.

Wireframe Requirements
Wireframes can should be built in HTML, Axure (listed above), MS Visio or OmniGraffle. The resulting files are not critical in this contest. The most important point is that all the content is listed and the pages are linked together to show page flow.
Judging Criteria
Your submission will be judged on the following criteria:
- How well your wireframes provide a consistent user flow
- How well you implement the required data and any suggestions, interactions and user flow you recommend (provide any notes or comments for the client)
- New to Studio? Learn how to compete here.
- Upload your submission in three parts (see this FAQs for more information). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
- If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and "Final Fixes" (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
- You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.
- A US Citizen
- A Lawful Permanent Resident of the US
- A temporary resident, asylee, refugee of the U.S., or have a lawfully issued work authorization card permitting unrestricted employment in the U.S.
If you do not reside in the United States:
- You must be authorized to perform services as an independent contractor. (Note: In most cases you will not need to do anything to become authorized)
